A Word of Encouragement

As parents we repeat ourselves 1000 times a day. And often get no indication that it's sinking in.
Here on Team Babetz we have many rules or helpful tools to keep the team on the right track. One of those is:

When in a store, if you are tempted to touch something...just put your hands in your pockets.

Sometimes this works and other times... not so much.

My mom called me this afternoon to tell me a little story:

She had the girls out shopping the other day and while in a dept. store, passing through the fine china, she noticed Receiver put her hands in her pockets.

So she told her she knew that was one of our rules and thanked her for obeying and told her she was a good girl..... You know how Grammy's do...

Then Reveiver says..."I just want to honor my mom and dad."

Now please understand, while it warms my heart to hear her say she wants to honor us... I don't say this to praise our parenting or even her obedience...

but only to Thank God and offer praise to Him...it is the work of the Holy Spirit in Receiver's heart that brought the rule to her mind and the desire in her heart to obey.

What an encouragement it is to me to know that He is working through us and she is listening.
