There was a girl...
With a sliver...
And a dad in his 40's...
Who says, "I don't need to get my eyes checked."
Somehow, he makes even sliver removal fun.

The Jesse Tree
We started our Jesse Tree a couple of days ago and I'm so excited to share with you the new devotional: A Jesus Advent Celebration I found to go along with the fun of the ornamanets.
It written by Ann VosKamp at A Holy Experience. My kids have been so engaged in this story and it's only been the first two days. We did a Jesse Tree devotional last year too and frankly most of the Bible stories in the devotional are stories they already know, but she is a gifted writer and makes the words jump off the page. It's been fun to watch their faces as we've read.
I wanted to share the link with you because it is free to download. I made our ornaments last year but the devotional comes complete with the ornaments that you can cut out and use.
This has quickly become one of my very favorite Christmas traditions.
