School is almost over...

School is winding down and the next few weeks are filled with fun business and no homework.  This is usually my least favorite time of year...  we have to get in 180 days but the 'work' is over so the remaining days are full of, what I like to call, fluff.  My normal tenancy is to wish these days away and complain about them not being over fast enough.  But I wonder, over the past 6 years, what I missed in those last few weeks of school.  My prayer is to slow and enjoy the end of Sam's elementary school career.  I want to fully live this time with him, having my eyes wide open to Gods goodness and offering thanks...  out loud.

Psalm 50:23a    The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;

Things on my list all out of order...
