Summer...

it's in full swing and it's been so rejuvenating.  We move from one thing to another with little stress and I've felt the urgency of rush come and been able to say...  why???  Where do we have to be... what do we have to rush to do...  and it calms me and I could get too used to this life of 'sleepovers' and reading in our jammies out in the cool of the morning and playing with friends and popsicle in the shade of the pecan tree and swinging into the evening and playing in the rain.

...just enjoying them.

Friends...

Sundays are hard.  Full of tiny potty's and separation anxiety...

and love.

But yesterday ended with a lovely time on the deck of a new friend celebrating an old friends birthday.  Sitting there, faces lit by tiny white lights strung in the bushes I couldn't help but be thankful for how God shows His grace to us through friends.

Friendships ebb and flow.

Some were close....

then not...

now are again, only separated by geography...

and those I see every week.  And how God brings new friends when He knows we need them.

What an amazing gift.

My pages of thankfulness are sprinkled with their names...

old and new...

near and far...

and the encouragement, love and laughter they bring.

Truly a gift.

Goals Met

The end of the year.  It seems like a long one, but I can't say why.

I'm glad it's over.

This spring marks the end of the elementary years for Sam.  From church, where he put his hand print on the wall and signed signifying that he's moving up to the youth group...

to the end of his elementary school career...
Sam is the last one... by the curtain
the congratulatory high 5
Another big milestone was Henry's kindergarten graduation...

Each day last week brought a different ceremony...

she's the one in pink

by the end... Maggie was done!

End of the year award ceremonies are always so humbling...   this year they symbolized more then just hard work and goals met.  It was more about Gods immense grace and protection.

Now we're looking forward to a great summer...
